| Abstrak | Indonesian Language subject is a process where the individual obtains some knowledge about Indonesian Language, includes structure, meaning, and the function of the language. Talking about the difficulties of studying, the other factor is the learning method that didn’t fix to the student’s learning style. Important to understands that every student has a different learning style. One learning method that is effective to one student maybe not have the same effectivity to the other student. Flipped classroom is a method that is implemented by the teacher to make the student understand about the material. The differences about this learning method and the other methods are the student firstly learning the material at home. This research purpose to analyze the impact of innovating the flipped classroom on Indonesian Language subject on the engagement of Al-Wajid class student. this research using qualitative through case study. To collect the data where the research conducted the researcher uses questionnaire and observation. Flipped classroom generally gave positive contribution to the interaction and communication between the student and the teacher. Student felt more active, more opened to participate on discussion, and positive impact to the communication helped improved the learning quality. Even there is another different opinion, majority student saw the improved on the interaction and communication as the result from this learning method approach. The result of this research based on the data that have been collected showed that 82.91% student of Al-Wajid class felt engaged by the implementation of flipped classroom on the Indonesian Language Subject. The opened questionnaire collected many opinions of the student how they explain flipped classroom definition. The result of the opened questionnaire showed that most of the student of Al-Wajid class explain that flipped classroom is a learning method iv v where the material learned by the student before the teacher gives a further explanation. The second opened questionnaire ask about the suggestion of the student to the flipped classroom. Mostly, student of Al-Wajid class said that the innovation of flipped classroom should be implemented on other subject that more difficult, such as math. The discussion between the student can make the math subject is easier to understand. Also, other suggestion is that flipped classroom should be mixed with games and quiz to create a fun environment on the class. |
